All area residents are invited to join Greene County 4-H members and the 2020-21 State 4-H Council in a stateside effort to collect non-perishable food items throughout the month of November for local food pantries, churches, etc. State Council members have a goal of collecting 10,000 food items amongst Iowa’s 99 counties with the Iowa 4-H Fighting Hunger drive.
The local drop-off location is the Greene County Extension office at 104 W. Washington St in Jefferson. The office is open weekdays from 9 am to 4:30 pm.
Greene County donations will be taken to the Action Resource Center food pantry after Dec. 1.
